Zebra Crossings
Pedestrian crossings are the walkers last refuge and all Australian motorists respect the right of the vehicle-challenged to cross the road on these anytime they like. Motorists be aware, pedestrians be confident.

Zinc Cream
Another warning about the Aussie sun. Zinc cream is a great protector of the nose, cheeks and tops of ears and is considered to look 'cool'. It comes in many colours and is available at all chemists.

Zoos
Australia has a number of wonderful zoos and not just in capital cities. A few to keep in mind - Sydney's Taronga Park Zoo with it's views of the harbour and range of wildlife, the Dubbo Zoo for observing nature up close without cages, the Adelaide Zoo for its compact accessibility and the Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast for crocodiles and other fauna.
